House and brickwork repointing

As Kent stonemasons, our skilled workforce are specialists in repointing brickwork. Done properly, house repointing should last a long time.

This referred client came to us because they had excessive damp coming through from the exterior masonry.  Due to weak pointing, rainwater was seeping into the top and sides of the brickwork where there is no waterproof seal.

As it was an old property, we erected scaffolding to give us unrestricted access to the whole facade. We raked out the weak pointing (removing old, deteriorated pointing) and re-pointed using a 3.5NHL Lime mortar to protect the bricks and to let the masonry breath.

As well as repointing this house in Tonbridge, we also built our client a custom bespoke shed! So now have a shed they love and a damp-free home ready for the winter!
